AGRICULTURAL COOPERATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES OF ORGANIC PRODUCTION

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the possibilities and advantages of the cooperative
movement in the development of organic agricultural production.The peculiarities of the development
of organic agricultural production, the current state and trends of its development in Ukraine are
outlined. The international experience of the cooperative movement in the formation and development
of organic agricultural production is considered. The trends of the world market in terms of the
formation of demand and supply for organic products in the short-term and long-term periods have
been analyzed.
The scientific novelty of the article consists in the analysis of factors of the external and
internal environment that determine the possibilities of agricultural cooperation and its role in the
production of organic products in Ukraine. The advantages of agricultural cooperation in the
development of organic production in the post-war period are highlighted. These are defined as:
opportunities for increasing the production and sales capacity of small-scale producers, new channels
for the sale of agricultural products by small business entities, increasing their competitiveness,
solving socio-economic problems of the development of rural areas, the possibility of infrastructure
development, the impact on the price of sales and product quality.
Conclusions. The need to take into account the specifics of agricultural cooperation as a form
of management in terms of its combination of social and economic functions, and therefore its
importance in preserving and improving the standard of living of the population of rural areas, was
noted. The need to develop software to facilitate control over the production process for cooperators,
taking into account the impact and ecological consequences of military actions for land and water
resources, is substantiated. The need to improve the legislative framework for regulating the further
development of organic production and sources of additional partial financing for agricultural
cooperatives has been determined. It is indicated that the further development and the share of
participation of agricultural cooperatives in the production of organic products in the short term will
be determined by the improvement of the legislative, organizational and legal framework for the
formation and development of both organic production and the cooperatives themselves by observing
the basic principles of cooperation, implementing mechanisms of state support for the cooperative
movement in the development of organic production.
